PlayingField’s mission is to increase diversity in the video games industry while broadening how game development is taught to younger age groups. It seeks to highlight the multitude of different roles that exist in the sector through engaging and exciting events and workshops.

Kirsty Rigden began her career in 2004 as a game designer and in 2010 became Development Director at FuturLab, an independent game studio based in Brighton responsible for the critically acclaimed Velocity series.
Kirsty sits on the board of the trade association UKIE (UK Interactive Entertainment) and is passionate about diversity and inclusion in the sector.
Declan Cassidy heads up impact and accessibility at MakerClub, an organisation dedicated to ensuring that young people develop the right skills to thrive in the 21st Century.
Launched in 2014, MakerClub focuses on fostering design and technology skills through creative briefs and its own dedicated digital learning platform which is used by thousands of young people every year.
